"After a number of outrageous increases in our car insurance premiums in the past 2-1/2 years, I decided to cancel our coverage with State Farm. I was initially told in their downtown Deland office in Jan. 2022 that any rate increases would be in the neighborhood of 4-8%. What I have seen in the past 2-1/2 years is more than 30% increases and having to drop some coverages and lower liabilities. This is totally unacceptable! The insurance industry in Florida has been in chaos for years and is totally corrupt! Most of the blame goes to the inept governor for not making the badly needed changes as well as those people who file false accident claims and receive huge settlements. Considering my wife and I are SAFE drivers with 60 years of nearly flawless driving records, having to subsidize unsafe drivers and false claims by criminals is totally outrageous and ludicrous! The Amanda Agnew State Farm agency in Deland has not helped us a bit in the 2-1/2 years we used them. Good riddance!"
