State Farm has launched a Distracted Driving Awareness Campaign ~ A few seconds can change everything!

Distracted driving is preventable - and it increases crash risk fast. Safety research indicates that taking your eyes off the road for just 2 seconds can double your crash risk. Texting takes about 4.6 seconds on average; at 55 mph, that’s roughly the length of a football field traveled with eyes off the road. Research also associates texting while driving with a 23× higher likelihood of a safety‐critical event.

How can you reduce distraction?

· Enable Do Not Disturb while driving

· Set navigation and music before you drive

· Pull over safely if you must read or respond

I began my career in the insurance industry with State Farm as a field trainer and always knew I wanted to continue to help people with their insurance and financial services while owning my own business. I proudly opened the doors to my State Farm Agency in 2015!

In my free time, you can catch me spending time with my husband and our two amazing daughters. I enjoy staying involved in the community and helping out wherever I can. I was the 2019 President of DeLand Chamber & Orange City Alliance and am currently a proud Sustainer of the Junior Service League of DeLand! I am also a member of the Breakfast Rotary of DeLand, chaired the 2021 annual Wild Game Feast and currently serve on the board of the Main Street DeLand Association. At that awesome event, we raise over $100K every year to support various charities in our community!
